Vienna / Confiscation, Vienna, March 1938
In March 1938, the Gestapo stole the important collection from Serena Lederer's flat in Vienna and distributed it among Nazi party leaders in Munich. To this day, around 1448 works of art are considered lost. Among other things, the Lederer family's entire textile collection is being sought. As the Gestapo theft was arbitrary, the Lederer provenance was not recorded.
