Description
Depiction of a parade formation of Russian and Prussian regiments on Joseph Square in Kalisz. In front of the Jesuit College on the right and the Church of the Assumption on the left half of the painting. Inventory label on the reverse side of the lower left frame. The frame is carved and gilded.

Provenance
Purchased by King Frederick William III from the artist. 1840 Royal Palace, living room of Queen Luise (death room of the king). Inventoried at an unknown date at the Royal Collections. From 1925/26 in the furniture depot of Charlottenburg Palace verifiable. In 1926, transferred to the House of Hohenzollern. Still traceable in 1938 and subsequent years. Lost between 1943 and 1945.
