Description
Chinese garden with balustrade and peony trunk. A table with teapot and bowls is ready. In the background is a large patterned carpet. In front of the carpet, enthroned on a tabouret, is a white, magnificent cat in the manner of the Angora. Around her, a scuffle develops between the tomcats rushing in from all sides.

acquired by Ginsberg in 1914 from the firm R. Wagner, Berlin; 1914 - 1942 Ostasiatica Collection Herbert Ginsberg, Berlin; in 1942 large parts of the Ginsberg collection were confiscated in Rotterdam by the Sicherheitsdienst (SD); whereabouts unknown
