Silver box with all-round engraving, partially gold-plated. The chest rests on four feet in the shape of angel heads and carries on the multi-tiered lid the reclining figure of a boy with hourglass and skull. The narrow sides, and the broad sides divided by two fields, each consist of an oval baroque frame with scenes from the Passion story, delicately engraved, as does the underside of the lid. The lid itself can be opened twice and has an altar-like shrine with openwork, hinged attachments. All areas of the lid are also engraved with scenes of the Passion and with the half-figures of Peter and Paul.
