„Ein Laufmädchen, das Besorgungen für ein Kleidergeschäft oder eine Modistin tätigt, begegnet auf der Straße in Höhe einer Laterne einem älteren gutsituierten Herren. Bekleidet mit karierter Hose, Sakko, Halstuch und Zylinder wirft er einen kurzen Blick durch sein Monokel auf das blühende Leben, das an ihm vorbeihuscht. Lauert er ihr auf, um sie auf die schiefe Bahn zu bringen ?“ (UW)

Del. 27 I"; bought for 150,- RM (estimated price: 150,- RM) from an unknown art dealer or collector Novi (protocol volume of the auction with names and prices is still available at the auction house Boerner, Düsseldorf); whereabouts unknown
