Description
On an elongate octogonal pedastal made of ebony with fittings of partly gilt silver-ornaments stands an elephant made of gilt bronze, lead on by a boy, while another boy sits on its neck propeling the elephant. On back of the elephant a plenty decorated shabrack, a tower on it, on both sides dials, at the edges free moulded ornaments. Above, inside of an octogonal superstructure a bell. More on top a circle of merlon, where four Janissaries are surrounding a tower. Inside the pedastal a clockwork. The clockwork is moving the Janissaries and the eyes of the elephant. The ornaments of the shabrack and the dials made of silver, least one with enamel, the rest - also the bottom covered with plants ist made of gilt bronze
