Description
Conical shape with rich tuip ornaments. Same décor on the lid, skull-shaped knob with cross. Inscription on the rim: Der Loblichen kleinen Crahmer Begräbnüs Gesellschaft zum Gedachtnüs Verehret dieses Michaell Göppert: Dreſsden 1657. Nuremberg assay mark and the maker's mark of the goldsmith.
Provenance
Until May 1945, the object was kept in the Dresden City Hall (seat of the Dresden City Museum). It was stored there together with the other handicraft exhibits of the museum - packed in boxes - in the cellar. Lost since the end of the war.
