Provenance
Claimant’s family was expelled from Vienna in 1938, but they were able to pay off the Gestapo and thus move many of their paintings to a warehouse in Paris. The family moved to the USA in 1939, and the artworks were removed by Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg in 1942 and taken to the collecting place at the "Jeu de Paume".
