Description
A DOCUMENTARY URBINO ARMORIAL DISH, by Guido Durantino, painted in brilliant enamel colours with Hercules slaying Cerberus and with the arms of Montmorency, trees and burning buildings in the background, the reverse inscribed " Her cole occise caccho et il cane Cerboro " and below in the same script "In botega di Mo Guido Durantino in Urbino, 1535 "

Munich, loss 1938;

The collection (approx. 440 works) was confiscated by the SS in Munich in 1938 on the occasion of the ‘Reichskristallnacht’ and auctioned at Sotheby's in London in 1939 (7/8 June and 19/20 July).
