David Leder; loaned by David Leder from October 1925 in Chemnitz during a move; presumably November 1931 as a loan from David Leder in the Kunsthütte Chemnitz exhibition ‘Ausstellung Gustav Schaffer zu seinem 50. Geburtstage’, outside the catalogue; a loss as a result to Nazi persecution cannot be ruled out - unlike other artworks that the Leder's had gifted to the Chemnitz Museum or offered for sale, no correspondence about a donation is known for this work; 30.10.1962 re-inventoried as ‘presumably came into the collection as a gift from David Leder around 1933’ (Chemnitz inventory book, supplement: ‘no documentation of the re-inventorisation available’); Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz Inv.
