Décor:

A gnarled branch grows on a stylized rock, from which Indian style flower and leaf tendrils unfold over the outside, flowers partly accentuated with gold, shortly above the rock a swallow-like, bird with ruffled plumage sits on a branch; unpainted shoulder; a flower tendril on the neck; dense flower branches on the lid; painted knob.

Manufacturer's mark: underglazed blue AR monogram.

Provenance
Dresden Castle, tower room; the collection of porcelain, together with the carpets, furnishings from the porcelain gallery and scientific material (10 boxes), was relocated to 16 different locations in a total of 1211 boxes. The relocation sites, some of which were castles and manor houses, served as refugee accommodation after 1945. As part of the collection was later offered for sale by private individuals or found in private estates, it is assumed that some of the losses were due to looting and destruction. According to the loss report for the porcelain collection from 1991, a partial transport to the Soviet Union cannot be ruled out.
