Description
Bulbous coffeepot with lid and flat, flared-out foot, triangular spout, curved handle with flame shapes where it joins the body; decor: landscapes surrounded by rococo ornaments, with mountains, ruins, and a river bank with two men; also rose bouquets and small scattered flowers; on the plain domed lid: a small river landscape with a rambler, and a pointed bud as the knob; everything painted in crimson camaieu.
Provenance
Purchased from J. Schulman, Amsterdam, on October 9, 1902, for the sum of 40 marks.
