Signed on the right: „Pauwelus Potter | fecit 1645 [false]“; cattle herd on the pasture next to a pond, with a pollarded willow tree on the right; the upper half of the painting is attached and painted over.

From the collection of duke August of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (cf. 1826 inventory). Part of the [1897] discarded paintings (cf. file); date of loss unknown, probably before 1943; whereabouts unknown.
