Cows at Lake Starnberg
In the foreground a light-coloured and a brown cow looking to the left. On the left a knitting girl in a red skirt and yellow bodice sits with a dog in front of a rotten wooden hut. Behind it some trees. Towards the back right another cow drinking from a lake.

Parquetted canvas, with the inventory label BStGS "Inv. Nr. 12582" in the centre left, "B 353/II" [Bormann's invoice number] [under the now removed BStGS Inv. label] in the centre right, next to it in blue "J. 1295", at bottom left sticker with stamp border and surrounding beige pattern on it handwritten: “Voltz [...] Bild aus / dem Jahr 1885 / Motiv am Starnberger / See”, next to it at bottom centre traces of detached sticker, at bottom right round yellow sticker on it "J. 1245" [Bormann inventory from Obersalzberg], on the decorative frame top right “12127" [Munich number], left centre small white sticker on it in red Inv. No. BStGS ”12582".
