Recto: lower left in pencil signature "L.v.Hoffmann" lower right "94/100" lower left inv. no. "VI b/52/342" lower right "47/1914"; verso:-.
Provenance
20.10.1951: acquired from the art antiquarian Reinhold Puppel, Quedlinburg (formerly Hollstein & Puppel, Berlin). It is not known when and from whom Reinhold Puppel acquired the print. It cannot be ruled out that the print belonged to the old stock of the aryanised art shop Hollstein & Puppel. Reinhold Puppel deliberately traded in cultural property that had been confiscated as a result of Nazi persecution.
