Pitchder
No marks or signs.
Vase-shaped vessel body with curved spout. Two circumferential ribbon ornaments. Curved handle with thumb rest in the shape of a scroll ornament. Twelve leaf-shaped ornaments in relief on the lower body wall above the shaft. Short shaft with shaft ring on a round foot. On this two circumferential band ornaments. The pitcher is completely painted, green on the outside and white on the inside.
The object is probably a pitcher for ritual hand washing. However, this use cannot be clearly proven from the shape alone. An attribution results from the context of the collection.
