Description
Panel painting: "Coronation of Empress Faustina". At the left edge of the picture a building wall with a lattice window and an open gate, (presumably dungeon, see below, legend). Behind it several angels and a prison guard with a key. At the entrance to the building Catherine, recognisable by her halo and crown, stands in a red dress (as in the second panel) and crowns the Empress kneeling before her. Behind the empress stands an acolyte and lays his hands on her shoulders. In the background landscape with trees. Painting in bright colours, painted in the style of the time without perspective. Black frame with golden mouldings at the fillet.
