Description
Massive oak table with round table top and four turned legs
Provenance
According to oral tradition, the table is said to come from the Leeran Freemason Lodge "Georg zur wahren Brudertreue", which was newly founded in 1857/59 and which was forced to be dissolved in 1934. The table is not mentioned in the list of confiscated property, the list of losses or in the application for restitution of the Lodge, which was re-established in 1947 (NLA Aurich, Rep. 16/1, No. 992 (confiscation of property of anti-state organisations), No. 999 (dissolution of the Freemason Lodges) and Rep. 107, No. 2184 on property and Rep. 252, No. 2357 on financial compensation of the Lodge).
