Description
The six servants of the main group in the middle of the picture, one of whom is leaning slightly forward, while the others kneel or sit, watch with attention the two cube lying on the ground. The figure of the standing soldier captures the light coming in from the left. On the left is another group of four soldiers with a drum, one of which is given as a stand and is surrounded by the incident light. On the right is a rock in the picture. A bundle of straw is poured in front of it. A bundle of straw is leaning against it. Behind this, two more figures are visible. In the foreground are parts of an armor and a helmet on the ground. The place of the action could be interpreted as a cave; in fact, only through such a localization the light guide finds its justification.
