From the resulting 1735 self-portrait Pesnes are several specimens known (Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg and Staatliches Museum Schwerin (the former or the present painting perhaps identical with Berckenhagen 244e, formerly Berliner privately owned, with illustration from the exhibition catalog of the gallery Goldschmidt-Wallerstein, Berlin 1926). This piece was probably acquired in the first half of the 20th century.
