Description
In the plate designated upper right "Olevano 9.09"; with pencil designated lower right "Erich Wolfsfeld". At the edge of the sheet on front and back pencil note "Alter Mann" in the artist's handwriting. On the front side of the sheet, 5-digit number "13000" in the middle of the lower part. Under passepartout typewritten with the work title on the left and the artist's name on the right.
Provenance
transferred in September 1943 by the OFP Hessen in Darmstadt to the Painting Gallery and the Museum of Antiquities of the City of Mainz, tax office identification number: M. St. 88/851. Probably confiscated by the Mainz tax office in September 1942 after the deportation of the owners. The identity of the owner (presumably a Mainz collector specializing in prints of the Berlin Secession and the 1920s) has not yet been clarified.
