Easy chair (Gobelin cover)

Alder, carved with tapestry. 1980 completely restored.

The legs and armrests of the chair are decorated with elaborate carvings; the sides of the armrests consist of leaf patterns, the front and upper end of the backrest form the head, torso and wings of a griffin. The seat and backrest are upholstered throughout with tapestry coverings (light floral patterns on a dark background). The chair was completely restored in 1980, which is why the upholstery covers may no longer be original.
