View of Italian houses
The pencil drawing is a study sheet with a view of Italian houses. In the foreground on the right, an incomplete house rises above the centre of the picture. A closed wall can be seen behind it, with loggias above it. Below the motif on the right are handwritten colour notes by the artist.
The titles of the work are "View of Italian Houses", "Study sheet with a view of Italian houses from the window", "Italian Houses" and "View over the roofs of Italian houses".
The work is inscribed "Heinrich Reinhold" in pencil in the centre of the reverse. The reverse of the work also bears a collector's stamp from the art historian Dr Heinrich Schwarz (1894-1974), Vienna.
