Description
The painting shows a hunter accompanied by hunting dogs in the foreground on the right. He is blowing the hunting horn next to the shot stag, while a second hunter approaches him on the left. The dawn gives the painting a warm yellow-orange tone that contrasts with the blue of the sky and the hill in the background.
